What Makes A Holmes Approved Home Better?

Buying a new home is exciting, but it also makes a lot of homeowners nervous. I don’t blame them--they’ve probably seen the horror stories.
And after working 30 years in the industry, believe me--I’ve seen more than my share too.
Usually I get called in to fix a bad job, or to help homeowners that have been screwed by a contractor, or a home inspection that missed all the red flags...

We have a quick construction update for our home owners at ZEN in AUburn Bay.
Building 1 – All of our two-storey home owners have taken possession, and the garden homes are all scheduled for possession through to the end of April
Building 2 – The two-storey homes are currently at Insulation. Once the inspection is complete we will begin drywalling.
Garden Homes – Plumbers are currently running gas lines and framing should be completed next week.
Building 4 – The framers are working to finish the roof, windows & doors...
Admittedly, monochrome doesn't sound nearly as lively as last year's 'pops of color,' but in a monochromatic colour scheme texture is key to making this happen. We recently finished the design on our Prima showhome at ZEN in Auburn where we used a monochromatic scheme. It was interesting using all white paint and no painted feature walls after years and years of using colour, beige and most recently ‘griege’ – but the end result is amazing.!
What we used to help make the design come alive was texture – a brick wall in the living room is for sure the show stopper...
