Improving Animals Lives - One Post at a Time
When we say we're crazy about animals at ZEN, we're not kidding. All our projects are pet friendly, including our latest ZEN Okotoks project, and ZEN Auburn Bay even has a doggie wash area. Sadly, not every animal has a good life. So along with our ZEN Okotoks contest, 'Paws Up for the Cutest Canine', where you post a picture of your dashing dog for the chance to win furrific prizes, ZEN Okotoks is donating $5.00 per post to Pound Rescue, Okotoks.
At any given time, Volunteer run Pound Rescue Okotoks has 200+ animals to care for. As a non-shelter facility, Pound Rescue relies on volunteer fostering of animals. Many rescued dogs and cats arrive at their foster home needing serious veterinary care, rehabilitation and socialization. All fostering and medical expenses are covered thanks to donations and fundraising efforts. It may take many months, but once an animal is ready, they are available for adoption by the right family.
No dog or cat is left behind, even if some are not adopted, they remain with Pound Rescue until the end of their natural lives. Devoted to helping lost and abandoned animals, Pound Rescue Okotoks has foster homes across Okotoks and Calgary, and is always looking for more loving and devoted foster and adoptive homes.
